Cable-borne camera, at the Vincennes race track
Design a mast, apparently a very simple task. But giving this mast an orientation, a visual direction, a proportion these were the goals of the structure supporting the cable-borne camera, at the Vincennes race track. Steel was chosen as the structure material right from the start of the design phase. The principle of dissociating the static layout in the transversal and longitudinal direction enabled a specific design to be found for this structure. The mast was made from built-up sections and was partially pre-fabricated in the workshop and bolt-assembled on site. The offset of the staircase in relation to the geometry of the mast offers a precise articulation with the fittings and facilities that accompany it.
